I spoke at the Camas Library for a free event: When Aging Parents Need More Support.
This 45 minute to 1 hour presentation answered the following 5 questions for people.
- Why does having aging parents who are changing feel so heavy?
- When is the right time to step in with aging parents?
- How do I start researching options for more support?
- What options for more support are there for my aging parents?
- How to talk about change/assisted living with aging parents?
This week’s presentation made me smile. Friday February 27th the Library contacted me and said, “We have zero RSVPs for the event. Do you want to cancel?”
I said, “Nope. Even if one person RSVP’s, I’m here to serve, so I’ll be there.”
Monday morning we had 6 RSVP’s and by the time the class started we had 8 RSVPs.
It was a great class!
