Instructions to ensure my weekly newsletter hits your inbox!
How to Make Sure My Emails Always Reach You
Email providers sometimes get a little overprotective. To make sure my weekly newsletter lands safely in your inbox (and not spam or promotions), take a quick moment to follow the steps below based on the email you use.
If You Use Apple Mail (iPhone, iPad, or Mac)
- Open one of my emails.
- Tap or click my name or email address at the top of the message (next to the “From” field).
- Choose “Add to Contacts” or “Add to VIPs.”
That’s it! Apple Mail will now recognize my emails as important.
If You Use Gmail
On a computer:
- Open your inbox.
- Find one of my emails.
- Drag it into the “Primary” tab (if it’s in Promotions or Updates).
- When prompted, click “Yes” to confirm.
On your phone:
- Open one of my emails.
- Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
- Select “Move to”, then choose “Primary.”
Gmail will remember this for future emails.
If You Use Outlook (Desktop or Web)
- Open one of my emails.
- Look for a message or banner near the top of the email.
- Select “Add sender to Safe Senders list” or “Always trust emails from this sender.”
This tells Outlook my emails are safe and welcome.
If You Use Yahoo Mail
- Open one of my emails.
- Click the three dots (More options).
- Choose “Add sender to contacts.”
A Helpful Bonus Tip (For Any Email Provider)
You can also:
- Reply to one of my emails, or
- Star / favorite the message
Both actions signal to your email provider that you want to keep hearing from me.
Thank you for taking a moment to do this — I’d hate for you to miss something meant just for you.
